Report on the timetable for consideration of the Education (Wales)
Bill
1. On 1 July 2013, a Government Bill, ‘Education (Wales) Bill’, was introduced in the Assembly.
2. On 18 June 2013, the Business Committee agreed, in accordance with Standing Order 26.9, to refer the Bill to the Children and Young People Committee, to consider and report on the general principles.
3. In accordance with Standing Order 26.7, the Business Committee established a timetable for the Committee’s consideration of the general principles of the Bill and has agreed that the Committee should report to the Assembly by 22 November 2013.

The
Business Committee also agreed that Stage 2 proceedings should be
completed by 7 February 2014, subject to the general principles of
the Bill being agreed by the Assembly.
